Coach DeFilippis is in his 15th year of coaching at Red Bank Catholic High School after coaching at the college ranks.  He is the boys’ and girls’ cross country coach and his teams have been ranked in the top 10 in the state of NJ during his reign.  His athletes have achieved 29 High School All-American honors, 6 NJ M.O.C. Champions, 7 Team Group Titles, and 49 Individual Group Championships.  He was selected Asbury Park girls’ cross country coach of the year in 2008 and 2014 and girl’s outdoor track and field coach in 2010.  The Star Ledger recognized him as coach of the year in 2012 and 2014 for girls cross-country.  His girls cross-country team won MOC’s and finished ranked number one in the state in 2014.  His girls 4 x 800 Relay team won the indoor National title in 2011.  His Girls’ DMR also holds the NJ state DMR record (11:32.29).  DeFilippis is the coach and administrator for the Runner’s High USATF Elite Development Club, where he has had several athletes compete in the U.S.              Cross Country and Road Race Championships and U.S. Indoor Championships.  He ran at the University of Maryland.
